The sizes of T-shirts:
In order to determine the size of a dress correctly, particular allawances should be added to the initially taken measurements. These allowances depend on:
- body type;
- silhouette (straight, fitted, etc.);
- fabric type (stretching, non-stretching, etc);
- age group.
Fitted silhouette:
- waist semi-circumference: for thin fabrics add from 1.5 (cm) to 2.5 (cm) to the CG measurement, for thick fabric from 2 (cm) to 3 (cm);
- hip semi-girth: for thin fabrics add from 1 (cm) to 1.5 (cm) to the CG measurement, for thick fabrics – from 1.5 (cm) to 2 (cm).
Semi-fitted silhouette:
- waist semi-circumference: for thin fabrics add from 2 (cm) to 3.5 (cm) to the CG measurement, for thick fabrics – from 3 (cm) to 5 (cm);
- hip semi-girth: for thin fabrics add from 1.5 (cm) to 2 (cm) to the CG measurement, for thick fabrics – from 2 (cm) to 3 (cm).
Loose silhouette:
- waist semi-circumference: from 4 (cm) to 5 (cm);
- hip semi-girth: CG from 3 (cm) to 4 (cm).
Important: the fabrics that are approximately 0.5 (mm) thick are classified as thin fabrics, and thick fabrics are those from 0.5 (cm) up to 1 (mm).
