How to choose boots:

When choosing boots, as a rule, several parameters are valuable:

  • foot length (cm): distance between the most protruding finger and most protruding parts of heel;
  • foot girth (cm): foot girth in the vicinity of toe, near big toe bones and little toe;
  • inner sole length (cm): distance between the most protruding parts in heel and toe inner sole parts;
  • boot height (cm): distance from joint of sole and boot material to the highest boot point.

On European territory, according to regulations, there are 12 width groups from 1 to 12 with interval of 0.4 (cm) between points.

In Europe, numerical indications with step of 0.5 (cm) are used for width. In addition, letters are used to indicate width. For example, B is a narrow width, EE is a wide foot.

In practice, in Europe only 3 width groups are considered: Narrow (N), Medium (M) - average, Wide (W). In the USA and England, letters A-F with step of 0.5 (cm) are used to indicate width.
