The sizes of a hats

Hats differ from other head-wear by the hat crowns and brims.

In order to determine the necessary size of the hat, the following measurements should be taken.

The sizes of a hats:

head circumference;
the length from the front edge of the hat to the back edge, measured at the widest part of the back of the head;
the length between the temples, measured through the crown of the head.

The determined numbers are considered to be the size of the hat.

Important: with the head circumference of 56 (cm) the size is 56. Usually, by standard, the two additional parameters correspond 31 (cm) and 42 (cm).

Some recommendations for correct choice of a hat.

When choosing any hat, without exceptions, there are several common recommendations.

the width of the hat brims should not be wider than the shoulders;
the dimensions of the hat crown should not be narrower than the face;
the dimensions of the hat and the width of the brim should be in direct ratio to the height;
the maximum width of the hat brim should not be wider than the distance between the forehead and the line, crossing the nose tip and the chin.

Important: determining the size of imported hats is done by comparing the chart measures with the size charts of the foreign producers.
