When choosing socks, as a rule, several parameters are valuable:

• foot length (cm): distance between the most protruding toe and most protruding parts of heel;
• foot girth (cm): foot girth in the vicinity of toe, near big toe bones and little toe;

Standard marking of socks size is considered to be foot length in (cm) with correction 0.5-1 (cm).

Sizes of socks models for adults are denoted by odd numbers from 23 to 31.

Some manufacturers indicate in size charts the ratio of sock size to shoe size.
