Determining the size of socks is done by measuring the foot length.

This parameter is determined by the foot contour and equals the length of the line that connects maximally opposite foot points, with accuracy of ±1 (cm).

The size of socks is determined by comparing the obtained results of the measurement with the size chart.

For example: foot length of 24-26 (cm) corresponds size 25 by the size range.

Socks marking systems:

Standard socks size marking is considered to be the relation of the size to the foot length in centimeters, plus the allowance of 0.5-1 (cm) for free fit.

The socks sizes are marked by odd numbers from 23 to 33, for adult models.

In case the foot length equals the number in-between two sizes, You should consider the smaller size.

For example: with the foot length of 25.3 (cm) women socks size would better be 25, rather than 27.

By the shoes size:

Some manufacturers show the relation of the socks size to the shoes size in their size charts.

For example: the person with the shoes size of 39-40 would have the socks size 25. In this case the label would have 40 (25) marking.

International size:

Apart from that, world manufacturers more often use alphabetic marking, such as S, M or XXL, which You can recognize only after comparing them to their provided size chart.

The signs of incorrectly chosen socks size:

If the socks have many wrinkles on the feet, then the size should be 1 unit smaller, despite of the size chart.

For example: if the foot length is 23.5 (cm) and the women size 25 looks wrinkled, the size 24 should be chosen, even according to the size chart the correct size is 25.

If the socks fall off then 1 size bigger socks should be chosen by analogical scheme.
