Determining shoe size:
For determining shoe size there are 3 main parameters that are very important:
- foot length;
- foot dimension (at the bone);
- foot dimension (at the rise).
Stichmass shoe size measurement system:
Stichmass system is a system, in which the size is measured in stichs (1 stich = 6.67 mm).
Unlike metric system, where the main measurement is foot length, stichmass system is based on measuring the length of the insole.
The allowance for the forefoot is added to the obtained measures. The allowance generally equals 10 (mm).
Important: this is the main system for European manufacturers.
